WORD OF GOD CHURCH & MINISTRIES
"Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it." Habakkuk 2:2
THE VISION OF THE MINISTRY IS SEVEN-FOLD:
To develop a minimum membership of 3,000 through the evangelistic principles displayed in the book of Acts. At Pentecost, 120 disciples received the Holy Spirit and went into the streets and compelled 3,000 souls to accept Jesus Christ. Act 2:1-47
To plant a second Word of God Church in one of the three remaining quadrants utilizing the evangelistic & developmental ministry principles from the southeast location.
To continue the development of a far-reaching feeding program for the body of Christ and hungry people in the greater Columbia area. At the feeding of the multitude, Jesus commanded the disciples not to send the people into the city to eat, but provide food themselves. Matthew 14:15-21
To continue the development of aggressive youth ministries that prepare the succeeding generation to impact the world system that God's order of rule might be established in the earth. Proverbs 22:6; Malachi 2:15b; Isaiah 61:9
To develop financial and business strategies and concepts to impact the world's system for the benefit of the Kingdom of God. Isaiah 59:19; Proverbs 29:2; Luke 19:13
To develop economic partnerships with surrounding businesses & financial institutions toward the goal of bringing residual and return income to Word of God membership and Word of God Outreach Ministries.
To develop a network of supporting ministers and churches through the
formation of the United Ministerial Alliance.
SCRIPTURE FOR OUR MISSION STATEMENT:
Phillippians 2:2 (AMP) "Fill up and complete my joy by living in harmony and being of the same mind and one in purpose, having the same love, being in full accord and of one harmonious mind and intention."
THE PURPOSE OF THE MINISTRY IS FOUR-FOLD:
To train and develop believers into spiritually mature saints, that they may carry out the work of the ministry. Ephesians 4:7, 11-15
To witness and win sinners for the Kingdom of God, Matthew 28:19-20; II Peter 3:9; Proverb 11:30
To impact our world system that God's order of rule might be established in the earth. Isaiah 59:19; Proverbs 29:2; Luke 19:13
To train up and transfer to a generation coming behind us, a Word-filled and faith-filled life that God may always have a spiritually well-equipped army until His return for the church. Proverbs 22:6; Malachi 2:15b; Isaiah 61:9
Mission Scripture: "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because He has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; He hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord." Luke 4:18-19
